SHELCO COMPLIANCE SOLUTIONS INTERNAL AUDITING SERVICE

Are you internally auditing your own systems??!! If no, why not??!!

A key element of the Heavy Vehicle National Law is Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and ensuring that companies comply with its requirements.

Companies need to know where they stand in the ’Chain’ and required responsibilities.

To achieve compliance to CoR requirements companies are required to have sound safety and management systems in place. These systems will be built:

  • at business start-up,
  • in conjunction with moving into an accredited scheme,
  • following an authority audit (heavy vehicle task force),
  • out of necessity, or the business has grown to a point where the need to present in a more professional manner to either meet new client requirements or attract better contracts

HOW CAN A SHELCO COMPLIANCE SOLUTIONS INTERNAL AUDIT HELP YOU?

An internal audit of your systems can provide tangible and measurable benefits to your company and drive your compliance obligations. Shelco Compliance Solutions Internal audits are not bound by Accreditation Audits Scopes, are more thorough, generally of a higher standard, are retained in-house, and do not attract a penalty for non-conformances.

Our audits will:

  • Test that your current systems are robust and compliant
  • Identify any deficiencies in compliance
  • Expose any changes in the business that are not currently being covered by the systems in place
  • Provide an external perspective of your systems where you may have developed ’company blindness’
  • Provide assurance that your staff and contractors and suppliers are following your company’s processes, expectations and requirements
  • Provide a direction on compliance priorities
  • Meet your accreditation compliance obligations under other schemes such as NHVAS, Truck Safe, etc
  • Be customised and can extend to non-transport related areas – such as quality systems & environmental controls
  • Provide you assurance and confidence that your systems are sound
